Erdoğan comes in first for ‘Person of the Year’ poll

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan came in first for Time Magazine's People's Choice for Time's 2011 Person of the Year.
Time's annual poll to determine readers' picks for 'Person of the Year' has come to a close. Prime Minister Erdoğan came in first as most popular with 122,931 votes. Erdoğan was followed by famous footballer Lionel Messi with 74,415 votes with 'The 99%' coming in third with 61,388 votes.
Interestingly enough, Prime Minister Erdoğan not only topped the list for 'most popular', but he also topped the list for 'least popular'. Erdoğan came in first for 'least popular' with 180,564 votes followed by 'The 1%' in second place with 34,489 votes and the third spot going to Casey Anthony, with 28,366 votes.
U.S. President Barack Obama also made the list in both most popular and least popular categories. Obama took the 11th spot for 'most popular' with 11,165 votes, while also coming in tenth for 'least popular' with 15,462 votes.
'The 99%' also made both lists, coming in third for 'most popular' and sixth for 'least popular'.
