LIFTED BY DECREE: The good news recently announced by Prime Minister Erdoğan that the government would soon be lifting student fees was realized last night in a decree enacted at the Council of Ministers meeting. From here on out, the previously obligatory contribution fee provided by students will no longer be required. This nation's 1,524,380 university students will be able to immediately benefit from the lifting of these mandatory fees.
Evening education students will still be subject to fees however. Evening education classes, which begin approximately after 17:00, are generally for students with lesser points who take classes in a particlular university branch by paying additional fees.
