Momentum is in President Obama’s favor

With beautiful Spring-like weather bringing smiles to everyone in Manhattan, Tuesday's sell-off seems like a distant memory.
The sell-off was more likely a correction than a trend reversal.
There is so much liquidity sloshing around the system that it will be tough for the market to sell off in a meaningful way.
Especially if Friday's U.S. payroll numbers come out positive, the bulls will lead the charge forward.
Spreads for financial benchmark bonds closed about 10 basis points tighter across the board after a large cash bond OWIC (offers wanted in competition) list went through the market.
Investors are still buying bonds.
Several billion dollars in new bonds were swallowed by players.
The bond new issue pipeline cranked back up and investor demand built up as if Tuesday's sell-off was a mere glitch in the Matrix.
On the political front, Tuesday's Republican primary results were rather inconclusive.
If anything, the results confirm the difficulties Mitt Romney will face convincing voters of his conservative bona fides.
Over dessert in Soho (the banana cream pie was amazing although the lemon meringue was not bad either) this player was inspired by a West Coast player.
The West Coast player suggested that an unconventional pairing of Mitt Romney with Ron Paul may be the medicine that the Republican Party sorely needs.
An association with Ron Paul would boost Romney's conservative credentials, give him cross-over appeal, and energize a grass-roots movement (Ron Paul is wildly popular on college campuses).
Someone should whisper into Romney's ear.
Just as creative thinking elevated Reagan to the Presidency in 1980, creative thinking is needed now.
Otherwise Romney runs the risk of being the Republican version of Al Gore; great on paper but incapable of winning a national election.
Momentum is in President Obama's favor.
Dallas Fed Chief Richard Fisher, ever the eloquent speaker, gave yet another masterful speech earlier in the week.
The text of the speech should be mandatory reading for anyone concerned with fiscal rectitude.
In technology, Apple announced that the new Ipad will be available March 16; this player may finally cave in and buy one.
Far away from the locus of attention, democracy is stirring in Burma (re-named Myanmar by the military junta).
Myanmar is in play for its strategic position; access to the South China Sea can be controlled with ease by whoever holds sway in Burma.
Initial jobless claims numbers are out on Thursday but players will really care about Friday's payroll numbers.
